Your new house is being built. The framing is complete. The drywall is being put up. And now, the fun begins: choosing your vinyl siding colors. With so many colors to choose from, how can you possibly narrow the choice to just one? And, what if you choose the wrong color? You could be the laughing stock of every passerby. This is why choosing the best vinyl siding colors is an extremely important decision.
Step One: Collect Vinyl Siding Color Samples
The first step in choosing your vinyl siding color is collecting samples. Be sure to include samples from various qualities, brands, and manufacturers. Most often, contractors can provide you with the samples they prefer to use. Then, you can narrow down the texture and color from their samples.
Step Two: Eliminate Some Vinyl Siding Colors
If you know that purple is not the choice for you, then eliminate all purple hues from your sample pile. Narrowing down the vinyl siding colors will help you choose the best one for you.
Step Three: Look Naturally at the Vinyl Siding Colors
Take the samples outdoors. After all, your siding is located on the exterior of your home. Make sure the color looks the same on the outside, in natural light.
Step Four: Take a Drive Around the Neighborhood
Once you have narrowed down your choices to two to three colors, take a drive around the neighborhood. Look at the different vinyl siding colors and see which ones look best in large quantities (after all, the sample is quite small compared to a house). Then, make your final decision. Regardless of what you choose, be sure the color is one you can live with for quite some time. After all, vinyl siding is known for its long lasting durability!
