Be Mindful of Island Layout
When planning an island, think about how all the features will be used. Make sure there is sufficient space between the island and main countertop, or any appliances. Consider:- Where a prep sink will be placed. Is there enough room to work without being too close to the main countertop area?
- How far you would have to walk to reach the refrigerator or garbage can.

For example:- If you want to prepare meals, you may need more counter space and room for small appliances and a prep sink.
- If you want an island for laying out food, storing serving dishes and congregating during parties, consider a smaller space.
