Here's how to maintain your lawn mower:
· Oil -- Check the oil before each use. Don't overfill, but make sure it meets the mark on the dipstick. Drain the oil at the end of each season.
· Air Filter -- Change the air filter every three months -- or at least once a season.
· Gasoline -- Use clean gasoline, not old gas left over from last year.
· Spark Plugs -- Replace or clean spark plugs once per season.
· Blades -- Inspect the mower blades for wear and tear; clean the blade housing to remove grass build-up.
Another tip:
Keep mud and other debris out of the engine. This will reduce the risk of the engine overheating.
