Cleaning Your Hardwood Floor
When it comes to keeping your hardwood floor in tip-top shape, it is essential to dust or vacuum on a regular basis to remove dirt, sand, and other particles which can get tracked into your home and scratch the surface of your hardwood floor. In addition to vacuuming you will need to mop your hardwood floor from time to time. While there are several hardwood floor cleaning products that you can choose from, you can also mix up a hardwood floor cleaner quite easily in your kitchen. One of the easiest is a solution of ½ a cup of white vinegar in one gallon of water. Another option is simply steeping tea bags in one quart of boiling water and dipping a cloth into the solution, wringing it out well and then wiping down the floor.Cleaning Your Laminate Floor
As with cleaning a hardwood floor, a quick regular vacuuming or dust mopping is a must in order to remove dirt and debris so that they don't scratch the surface of your laminate floor. While again there are many quality cleaning products for keeping a laminate floor clean, the same solution of vinegar and water works quite well. The key with laminate flooring is not getting the flooring too wet as excessive moisture can damage your laminate floor. Some simple household products can help you keep your laminate and hardwood flooring looking just a beautiful as the day it was installed.
