As
stainless steel continues to influence the upscale appliance market, some are taking
it a step further.
Move
over granite and solid surface materials. The countertop has gone stainless.
This
shiny gray material can compliment a wide variety of kitchen designs and blend
with almost any color. Some designers consider it a “non-color” because of its
ability to fit into a variety of color schemes.
Stainless
steel creates an urban, sophisticated look and its muted appearance blends well
with minimalist design. It also can work well in traditional kitchens. Just add
creating cabinetry “housing” to blend it with rich wood tones and other
traditional elements.
Upkeep/cleaning
of Stainless Steel
Stainless
steel is easy to keep clean. However, unlike standard finishes, it requires
special cleaning techniques to ensure that it retains its unique character.
·
always
wipe with the grain
·
do
NOT use chlorine bleach or cleaning products that contain chlorine bleach.
For
daily cleaning and light soil, use a clean, soft cloth or sponge and a mild
detergent and water, or a solution of white vinegar and water. For heavier soiling,
use a paste of baking soda, rinse, then dry immediately.
